Entry Times: Drop Off Art at Martin City Hall Tuesday, Aug. 21, & Thursday, Aug. 23, 3:30-5 p.m. or mail in submissions to Project 731, 351 Highway 431, Martin, TN 38237.

All mailed Art, Photo, Coloring Sheet, and Essay submissions must be postmarked by Aug. 23 to be considered.

The Coloring Sheet Contest is limited to children ages 0 to 10.

For registration, coloring sheet, and specific contest rules see details below. Entries and winners will be displayed at Magical Martin Day at the Project 731 booth.

TSF Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest @ CE Weldon Library
Sep 1 @ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Registration starts at 10 a.m. at CE Weldon Public Library

Free for everyone, Children, Teen, Adult, and Family divisions will be judged.

Winners and prizes will be awarded at 7 p.m. in Festival Park prior to the Martin Community Band performance.

Build Your Own Instrument @ First United Methodist church, Fellowship Hall
Sep 1 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

The build your own instrument workshop is from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1st at the First United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall in Martin, TN.

Build your own instrument! This award-winning event is a fun interactive workshop for children in 4th and 5th grades that teaches participants the fundamentals of making music. Participation is free and limited to twenty students.

At 7:00 p.m. on Saturday evening participants will play their instruments while performing with The Martin Community Band at the Festival Park Amphitheater. Registration is available online at www.tnsoybeanfestival.org.

TSF Tour of the Arts: Fifth Annual Guitar As Art Contest Exhibition @ Art Gallery in the Fine Arts Building at UT-Martin

Showcasing guitars that have been artistically altered using any 2D media method.

The Guitar As Art Exhibit is open to the public Tuesday, Sept. 4, through Friday, Sept. 21, 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
