What event are free and what events do I have to pay for?
Our festival is free to attend and enjoy and we do not charge any admittance fees. The only activities you that require you to pay are the midway rides and games and the BeanZone Reserved Area at the concerts.
Do I have to pay to watch the concerts?
a. This year the concerts are open and free to attend. Concerts can be viewed from anywhere in the free GA viewing area. Attendees do have the option to purchase a reserved seat near the front or purchase a pass to enter the front of stage pit area. These areas that require a ticket are called the Bean Zone and tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.
Where can I go to watch the side shows?
There are 3 fun side shows at this years festival; The Twin Stunts Motorcycle Show will be located in front of Martin City Hall, Twiggy will be located in the Savant Yard across from City Hall, and the Tanzanite Acrobats will perform in the street fair in from of the Martin Public Library.
Will there be a carnival this year?
Yes, we are excited to welcome Midwest Rides for the first time. They will be open Tuesday through Saturday.
Where do I go to purchase armbands and other tickets?
Midest Rides will have a ticket booth set up at the entrance of the midway. They will sell armbands on select days and individual ride and games tickets during all open hours.
How much are midway armbands?
$25
What events can my children enjoy?
There are many events and activities for kids of all ages: a chalk are contest; amusement rides; playhouse petting zoo; sideshows, including Twiggy the Water Skiing Squirrel and Motorcycle Stunt show; the Fast and Furious Power Wheels race; FREE facepainting and a balloon artist; and the Reelfoot State Park Wildlife show. Saturday is also Special Needs day.
Where can I use the restroom?
There will be facilities located in the Farmers Market parking lot near the midway, the north end of the street fair, Martin City Hall parking lot, and Virginia Weldon Park. BeanZone ticket holders will have access to an additional restroom facility.
Will there be designated area to eat?
There will be groups of picnic tables set up in the street fair area and trash cans will be located throughout downtown.
Will the library be open during the festival? If so, what days and times?
The library will be open regular hours throughout the week:
Monday through Wednesday 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Thursday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Where can I park?
Parking can be found on: Main Street (Broadway St. lot and Methodist Church lot), Oxford Street & Neal Street Parking Lots (lots located behind businesses and FCB church lot), UTM Parking lots are located .6 miles from downtown on University Street (12 minute walk)
